We believe that the Bible, composed of the Old and New Testaments, is inspired of God and is our supreme, infallible, and final authority in faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 19:7-8; John 20:30-31; Hebrews 4:12; Romans 1:16)
We believe in one God eternally existing in three Persons–Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19-20)
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, that He is both true God and true man, and is the only and sufficient Mediator between God and humankind. (Matthew 1:18; 1 Timothy 2:5-6)
We believe in the personality of the Holy Spirit and that His ministry is to reveal Christ to humankind in the regeneration and sanctification of their souls. (John 14:26; 1 Corinthians 6:11)
We believe that man and woman were created in the image of God, and that they sinned and thereby incurred spiritual death. (Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:12)
We believe in the vicarious death of the Lord Jesus Christ for our sins, in the resurrection of His body, His ascension into Heaven, His personal and visible future return to the earth, and that salvation is received only by grace through faith in Him. (Romans 4:25; John 11:25-26; Acts 1:9; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6)
We believe that baptism is an act of obedience and a symbolic reminder of the new life believers experience as a result of the death and resurrection of Christ. We also believe that the Lord’s Supper (i.e. communion) is a symbolic reminder of the sacrifice Christ made on our behalf through His broken body and shed blood. This communion remembrance is to be practiced regularly and is open to all who are followers of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
We believe that a New Testament church is to be a body of believers called together for worship, discipleship, service in Christ’s name, and the spread of the Gospel and the furtherance of the Kingdom in all the world. (Psalm 133:1; Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 4:15-16; Hebrews 10:25)
